Bolero Resources Corp.: Aeroquest Airborne Survey to Further Define High Priority Rare Earth Targets

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 12, 2010) - Bolero Resources Corp. (the "Company" or "Bolero"), (TSX VENTURE:BRU)(FRANKFURT:U7N1) announces that it has retained Aeroquest Ltd. to undertake state-of-the-art AreoTEM and Radiometric geophysical airborne surveys on the highly prospective "Carbonatite Syndicate Rare Earth Claim Group," 80 km northeast of Prince George, BC. These airborne surveys will be integral in further defining high priority drill targets in preparation for an upcoming drill program.

Bolero Resources' President and CEO, R. Bruce Duncan, stated "The Aeroquest airborne survey is considered one of the best in the industry and will allow us to further define existing high priority Rare Earth drill targets. We are excited to have confirmed the presence of Rare Earth Elements on our ground and eagerly await additional upcoming assay results. Drilling is expected to commence shortly, following the interpretation of the airborne data. We are also awaiting results from multiple IP surveys recently conducted on our "Red Chris South" prospect, contiguous to Imperial Metals Corporation's Red Chris" Copper/Gold discovery. where recently, they announced a drill hole intercept of 528.7 metres grading 1.97 g/ton gold and 1.13% copper." (Imperial Metals news release, April 12th 2010)

The airborne geophysical and radiometric surveys will consist of over 400 line kilometres to be flown at 200-metre line spacing. The AeroTEM system is the HTEM system of choice in British Columbia for its superior ability to contour in rugged terrain. The airborne survey will focus on further defining high priority Rare Earth targets contiguous to the East and South East of Spectrum Mining's "Wicheeda" Rare Earth discovery, that recently returned grades of 3.55% rare earth elements ("REE") over 48.64 metres

Soil and Silt samples from Bolero's ground show concentrations for Cerium (Ce) and Lanthanum (La) up to 631 ppm and 377 ppm respectively, with 20 samples showing total Rare Earth contents above 1000 ppm. Pathfinder elements such as Niobium (Nb) and Barium (Ba) also show distinct elevated concentrations against background, indicating their applicability for local exploration.

Dr. Roger Steininger, Ph.D., CPG (AIPG), a Company Director, is the "Qualified Person" (as such term is defined by NI 43-101) responsible for the preparation of the technical information in this release.
